Eligibility:
The program is open to all junior and
senior high school students all over the world who are
interested in learning English.
Purpose:
Listening, speaking, reading, and
writing exercises will be implemented to produce a completely
English environment. This style of teaching will help to
further develop each student’s ability and develop within
them an English perspective.
Distinguishing Characteristics
1. Closed campus: 6 students to each
air conditioned dormitory room
2. Foreign teachers: all teachers will
be Americans certified in TESL
3. English classrooms: only English
will be spoken during class time
4. Small classes: each student will be
separated into one of three competency levels depending on
his/her ability with no class exceeding 20 students
5. Diversified teaching methods:
English salon, English corner, movie review, multi-media
instruction, outdoor activities, group time, Saturday and
Sunday outings
6. Final performance: students will
showcase their English skills at the end of the program
Faculty:
1. American teachers: TESL certified,
active, creative, systematic, professional teaching
2. Physical Training: Table Tennis
lessons will be given by famed instructor Le Henan

Facilities

a multi-media library, a performing arts stage and viewing area, a swimming
pool, table tennis facilities, handball courts, indoor and outdoor basketball

- Program payments should be made at: Shanghai / 999 Si Ping Rd/ Yangpu

- Cash payments should be paid to the Constructional Bank of China/
the bill of remittance along with the student’s name should be forwarded
to Yangpu’s International Division office
- Total Cost
Tuition Fee: 2,500 RMB (all students who are registered to begin the
fall semester at Yangpu may join the summer program free of charge)
- Advanced payment: If fees are paid before June 15th a ten percent
discount will be applied to the total cost
- Cancellations: Students who choose to withdraw before the program
begins will be charged a 20% cancellation fee.
- Any student who chooses to withdraw after the program begins will
not be refunded
